INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM
More support for what you’re facing—
without stepping away from
your life.
Sometimes weekly therapy does not provide enough structure, but inpatient or residential treatment is not the right fit. An intensive outpatient program, or IOP, offers more frequent therapeutic support while allowing you to continue living at home and staying connected to your daily life.
Altium Health offers three adult IOP tracks in West Jordan, Utah: Mental Health IOP, Substance Use Disorder IOP, and Daytime Dual Diagnosis IOP. Each program provides nine hours of structured care every week, with treatment shaped around your symptoms, experiences, goals, and current needs.
Intensive outpatient treatment provides more structure and connection than traditional weekly therapy without requiring an overnight stay. Participants attend programming three days each week and return home after each session.
IOP may be appropriate when symptoms are interfering with work, relationships, recovery, physical health, or the ability to manage everyday responsibilities. It may also serve as a step down from a partial hospitalization, inpatient, or residential program—or as a step up when outpatient appointments alone are no longer enough.
Treatment includes a combination of group therapy, practical skill development, treatment planning, progress reviews, and coordinated medical or psychiatric support when clinically appropriate.

STRUCTURED SUPPORT. REAL LIFE.
IOP may be recommended if you:
Need more frequent support than weekly therapy currently provides.
Are experiencing symptoms that affect work, school, relationships, recovery, or daily functioning.
Would benefit from a consistent therapeutic schedule and greater accountability.
Are stepping down from PHP, inpatient care, residential treatment, or another structured program.
Are concerned about recurring symptoms, substance use, cravings, or relapse patterns.
Need treatment for both mental health and substance use concerns.
Are medically and psychiatrically stable enough to remain at home outside program hours.
You do not need to decide whether IOP is right for you before contacting us. Our team will complete an assessment, learn more about what has been happening, and recommend the level of care that provides the appropriate amount of structure and support.
Consistent support can help
you regain stability—
and build momentum.
