Detox

Ambulatory detox, also known as social detox, is a flexible and supportive approach to overcoming substance use without the need for inpatient hospitalization. Under the supervision of a physician, patients receive tailored medical care and monitoring in an outpatient setting, ensuring their safety and comfort during the detoxification process.

This approach allows individuals to spend part of their time in the office for check-ins and treatment while continuing their recovery journey at home. Ambulatory detox is designed to minimize disruptions to daily life, making it possible to maintain routines, responsibilities, and privacy while taking the crucial steps toward overcoming substance use. It's an effective and compassionate option for those ready to start their recovery journey.

What to expect from an Altium Detox?

At Altium Health, we understand how overwhelming and intimidating it can feel to take the first step in seeking help for substance use. That’s why our ambulatory detox program is designed to provide compassionate, personalized care every step of the way. Our experienced providers will work closely with you to develop an individualized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and the substance you are detoxing from. Detox typically lasts 3-7 days, with the amount of time spent in the office varying based on your unique requirements. One of the key benefits of ambulatory detox is the ability to return to the comfort and safety of your home each night, allowing for a smoother and more supportive recovery experience.

What types of Detox can be done?

We are able to support individuals in safely detoxing from a variety of substances, including alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, stimulants, and more. Our compassionate team provides necessary support, such as medication management and IV fluids, to ensure clients remain comfortable and safe throughout the process. During the admissions call, clients can also explore additional treatment options, such as NAD-IV therapy, intensive outpatient therapy groups, or outpatient medication management, to create a comprehensive plan for long-term recovery and wellness.
