A native of Tehran, Iran, Siamak moved to Salt Lake City in 1978 at 16, attended Highland High School and graduated from the University of Utah. Siamak has lived throughout Utah, including the Navajo Nation for the past 40 years. He has been the Founder, Board of Trustees, and/or the CEO of several psychiatric and addiction treatment organizations and hospitals in Arizona and Utah. Along with his other partners, Siamak founded Altium Health in 2019 with a specific goal in mind: Removing barriers to treatment by providing a shame-free and stigma-free mental health and addiction medicine continuum of care outside of hospitals and in the community. Siamak has served on several governmental and non-profit organizations’ boards dedicated to health care, behavioral health, human rights, preservation and conservation, and food sustainability including The Alliance House, Salt Lake County Mental Health and Substance Use Advisory Committee, Esther’s Garden, and Interfaith leadership and Environmental Stewardship committee. 

Joel Hanson, MD is the Chief Medical Officer for Altium Health. He completed a BA degree in Spanish from the University of Utah, followed by medical school in Rochester New York, then specialty training at the University of Utah in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry. He is Board-certified in General Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. He has worked in most aspects of psychiatry, outpatient, and inpatient.  He has owned and run a residential substance use disorder program and an inpatient detox hospital. Dr Hanson has five children and enjoys singing, going to plays and skiing. “The Altium staff members are a professional and caring team.”  “Seeing the clients’ progress is incredibly inspiring!" 

Marty is an entrepreneur who is recognized for leading, managing and cultivating startup operations within the automotive, restaurant and medical service industries and was the founder and CEO of PMO Care. He is one of the founders and currently COO of Altium Health. He is a visionary who has created innovated business models designed to serve the good of the communities in which his companies operate and is the co-founder of the Not-for-Profit charitable foundation, Mycrow Angels, which creates self-sustainable employment opportunities for impoverished groups in Latin America. 

Marty is a Chemical Dependency Professional who is passionate about service and is one who operates from a platform built upon solid morals, ethics and values. Marty’s mission is to be of help to others and to give hope to those who suffer.  

Jayme has worked in the behavioral health industry for the past 10 years, after beginning her own journey in recovery. Jayme has held positions ranging from Chef to Program Manager and has worked at every level of care. Outside of work, Jayme loves to spend her time fly fishing with her husband, running, and spending time with her 3 dogs (Lola, Emma and Harper). 

Wendy earned her bachelor’s degree in human services and management in 2009 and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix in 2019.  Wendy has worked in the human services field for 15 years and worked with the substance use disorders population since 2011. Wendy is certified in Moral Recognition Therapy (MRT), Seeking Safety, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Wendy enjoys football, exercising, movies, and being a mom to her 25-year-old son.

Jen Thompson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in the field of mental and behavioral health for over 13 years. Jen graduated from the University of Utah College of Social Work with both of her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work. Jen has worked in the field of Substance Use Disorders  for the majority of her career, working closely with the justice involved population. Jen has experience in leadership, policy writing, program development, advocacy and Strategic Planning. Jen has also had the opportunity to teach a variety of different courses in the Substance Use Disorder Certificate Program and the Master of Social Work Program. Jen believes that it is critical for an individual to learn the power that lies within them when they just believe in themselves.

Jen specializes in: 

Trauma, High-Risk Violent, Offender/ Justice-Involved Population, Substance Use Disorders, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT). Jen is also certified in: DBT, MRT and EMDR.

Eryn is a recent graduate of the University of Utah, where she studied social work and substance use disorder counseling. She has worked at Altium Health in a few different roles, and most currently works as a SUDC. When she is not seeing clients or facilitating groups, she enjoys watching movies and reading.

Bette was born and raised in Utah.  Bette is a single mother to her two boys that are now 18 & 15 years old. Bette also has two Malti-poo yorkie mix puppies (Obsidian and Buddy) and two parrots (Sugar Cookie the macaw and Juno the green cheek conure). Bette loves all things horror, listening to True Crime podcasts, and listening to all different genres of music. She even played the cello in high school and sang in choir as well.

Bette worked in her family’s Acupuncture and Martial Arts business doing office management and billing work for 17 years before she came to Altium Health. 

Lindsy is a National Certified Medical Assistant and has been in the medical field for over 10 years now. Her favorite part of working with patients is being able to help someone who is in need and watch them heal and grow. Her background includes cancer care, pediatrics, family practice, and bariatrics. She has been married for 20 years to her young love and they share four children together. Three of which have moved out. She and her husband currently care for her handicapped son along with their two dogs, a toy bichon, Ellie and a toy Aussie doodle, Hershey. 

In their spare time, Lindsy and her family enjoy going camping, traveling and all things Disney. If you've met her, you know!
